Maine Savings Amphitheater,— Pop powerhouse Halsey has been forced to cancel her June 4 performance at the Maine Savings Amphitheater after experiencing sudden and severe vocal cord issues. The announcement came just hours before the show, leaving fans disappointed but understanding.
In a poignant statement shared on social media, the Grammy-nominated artist revealed she woke up Wednesday morning without a voice. Medical professionals advised immediate rest, warning that performing could risk further damage to her vocal cords.
“This is devastating,”Halsey wrote. "There’s nothing I wouldn’t push through—except this. My voice is my instrument, and I can’t risk it.”
The cancellation marks a rare pause in her ongoing tour, though Halsey assured fans she expects to resume performances after proper rest.
Waterfront Concerts, the event organizer, expressed their regret in a statement: "We’re deeply saddened to cancel tonight’s show. We wish Halsey a swift recovery and hope to welcome her back to Maine soon. Refunds will be processed at the point of purchase.”
Halsey closed her message with heartfelt gratitude: “Thank you for your endless grace. I love you all so much.”
As of now, no rescheduled date has been announced.
